Wrong way always end up to wrong destinations, that may result to culture shock, this is what Africa industrialization process reach.
Changes to be effective should be gradual, this to give room for adapting it, and giving yourself chance to fix some of challenges which are always accompanied with changes to fit your life style, but also to evaluate the benefit of changes to your society. There are many reasons to why changes should be gradual, but my focus to write this is to spark the view on wrong way that Africa choose toward industrialization.
The history of industrialization is clear, industrialization was spearheaded with innovations and discovery, whereas small scale discoveries were change to large beneficial projects. The spirit of innovation and discovery is discouraged in Africa this is clear via a couple of examples, in Africa if a person discover a gun for example will be considered as wrong doer and strong measures will be taken upon him or her by the government. In Mbeya region, in Tanzania there was a youth who was able to make an aeroplane, but the government was deef and brind on that, till the external countries saw him and take him for training purposes.
When you hear about industrial change in African countries, we are focusing on initiate industries 99% with technology from abroad. Local industries are not know, they seem as doing their day to day activities for subsistence only.
Wonderful enough, is that African governments are calm on success of internal industrial, but external countries are fighting hard to take us from one stage to another of development, it is now wise for associations which focus to develop African local industries to go direct to those local industries otherwise they would encounter some middlemen who may interrupt the benefits which are intended to local industries in a way that it may reach reduced or nothing.
Will continue soon.
